Somatic Healing
Your nervous system is the electrical network of your being. Over time, unresolved trauma or chronic stress causes dysregulation of this network. When you are dysregulated, difficulties in your personal and professional life arise. When you heal the nervous system, you heal the emotional self so your true self can emerge.
Somatic breathwork takes you out of your thinking mind and into your body's electrical network. It lets you release stuck energy caused by repeating thoughts, feelings, and old narratives, by getting it out of your body. It helps you get out of your head and find peace in your body, allowing you to think more clearly and reduce stress.
What causes your nervous system to get out of whack?
Our bodies are bombarded with input every day from electronics, work, and family with little time to process. Many people spend the majority of their days with their bodies hunched in positions where they can't breathe well. All of these things lead to stress on the body and nervous system dysregulation.


Talking about your problems will only get you so far...
Research shows the body holds on to the trauma patterns of up to 14 past generations. Trauma is embedded in the cells and cannot be released through talking, but can be released through breathwork.
If it's not released, carrying this stress can lead to chronic illness, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, insomnia, poor attention, poor memory, addiction, exhaustion, chronic pain, hormonal imbalances, and more...

Changed My Life
In the summer of 2022, I felt pulled to attend a women's retreat in Austin. At 44-years-old, I didn't feel good in my body. I couldn't relax. I had burned out from hustle culture. I was easily triggered and reliving traumatic events I thought I had conquered. I thought I was so strong overcoming trauma after trauma for decades, but really I was living numb and completely dissociating.
At the retreat, we were told we were going to do breathwork. I had never heard of it and thought, "We are just going to lay here and breathe for an hour? I breathe all the time, what is this supposed to do?" I couldn't believe how life-changing the session was. I experienced visions of my future and had a spiritual awakening. I "woke up" feeling lighter, more free, safe in my body, knowing my life's purpose, and with an inner peace I had never felt in my entire life.
After the retreat, I spent the next month integrating and processing all that happened in that one-hour session. I found that the little things no longer bothered me. I was calmer, more relaxed, and happier. I enjoyed my kids and my husband more and was able to communicate better. I was able to feel my emotions again.
I had never felt so good in my body and it fueled my desire to help others feel good in theirs. I got trained in the same type of breathwork that helped me and I learned about other types to see which one I found to be the most powerful. I got trained in somatic healing and learned how to regulate the nervous system. I continue to do bi-weekly breathwork journeys to keep myself feeling good and to clear any new stress that does arise.

Will everyone experience a big physical release?
Your body will only release what it is ready to let go of each time, and every breathwork experience you do will be different. Some people have big physical releases of emotions like anger or sadness, while others may be allowing themselves to feel joy, happiness, or pleasure for the first time. Not every release is shown through physical movement. You won't remember in your conscious mind if you released in a big way, but in your body you may feel a lot more relaxed, less anxious, more in control, or at peace following a breathwork session.
